The Wind , Lizzy Macklin and her husband Isaac, filmed a secluded cottage
where they settled as farmers. Lizzy was given a pamphlet by the pastor
referring to evil demons. While pregnant, Lizzy heard a knock on the door only to find
no one outside. Lizzy gave birth to a stillborn baby. Lizzy and Isaac
meet new neighbors, Emma and Gideon Harpers who move to another cabin. Lizzy
and Isaac help Harpers work their fields.
Lizzy suspects Isaac and Emma are having an affair. Emma explained
she was pregnant when she vaguely explained to Lizzy, something was coming
for her and the baby. Emma told Lizzy she heard a whisper in
at night which Gideon thought might be the wind. Emma refers to the demons of dai
the pastor’s pamphlet and also alludes to the affair with Isaac.
Lizzy killed Emma and her unborn child though
Lizzy’s memory blames Emma’s murder for suicide. Isaac is leaving
Lizzy is alone in the cabin when she also goes to pick up supplies for the season
the coming cold. The wolf threatened, Lizzy shot towards the beast, however
finally killed the farm goat. Furthermore, the goat looks alive
back, forcing Lizzy to shoot again.
Paranormal activity suddenly causes chaos, Lizzy
passed out after seeing Emma’s ghost. Lizzy returned home the next day
with Emma’s personal journal. The journal confirmed Lizzy’s suspicions, baby
Isaac’s Emma. The Pastor stopped at Lizzy’s cabin for dinner. Over
referring to something supernatural lurking outside, the priest is possessed. Lizzy
towards Emma and Gideon’s cabin.
The next day Lizzy passed the pastor’s corpse when
walk home. Lizzy prepared to shoot herself, but stopped for a moment
she saw Isaac coming back. Lizzy found a copy of the “Demons of the
Prairie ”Emma. Lizzy tells Isaac that Emma is haunted by something and
he wasn’t sure Emma took his own life. Isaac got out of the cabin, Lizzy
tries to chase Ishaak but meets Emma’s ghost.
A paranormal presence attacks Lizzy, while she is recovering, Lizzy
saw Isaac tied her to their bed. Lizzy watched Isaac read
Emma’s journal. Realizing that his wife knows the truth about Emma’s child, Isaac
asks Lizzy if she killed Emma. Lizzy uses shards
the glass breaks free from the ropes. Lizzy cut Isaac’s neck when he came to
direction. Isaac died and still struggling with memory and visions,
Lizzy staggered outside and passed out from the stomach wound.
Who would have thought that a trip home in the middle of a freezing winter could turn into a disaster. Long story short, they then traveled back to Delaware. The Guy or the man then chose the frozen path which he believed was a shortcut. However, on the way, as night fell, a car came approaching them at high speed.
They swerved to avoid it, crashing into a pile of snow.
A radio news report did warn that the storm would bring snow and temperatures down. As they fought the falling temperatures, they began to see people outside their car, from the ghost of the priest to other manifestations of lost souls.
Before they understood that they were spirits, the girl tried to touch one of them. However, his hand caught fire.
The Wind Spirit turns around to show that he too is a victim of the fire. Later they realize that they are trapped in a supernatural bubble where the evil from 1953 is destined to repeat itself. Year after year threatening new victims. The man attempted to walk back to the last gas station but his injuries from the accident were worse than he thought. But strange events continued to emerge.
